Due to low patronage iberia airlines withdraw their services from Nigeria




Iberia and many airlines are already withdrawing their services from Nigeria routes according to The Guardian. 

Out of about 50 airlines that operate the Nigerian routes, 14 airlines so far have stopped making flights to Nigerian routes as a result of the bad economy being experienced in the country

Iberia airlines and some Spanish-owned Airlines like United Airlines, Air Gambia and 11 others.

According to information made available, airline companies operating in Nigeria are said to have lost over N64billion within the shortest space of time as a result of the new foreign exchange policies and stringent monetary policies introduced by the Central Bank of Nigeria Bank of Nigeria.

Speaking on the issue, President of the National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA), Bankole Bernard, said the new forex policy and economic recession came with enormous negative effect on travel agencies and airlines.

The consequences come in form of job lost for Nigerians and revenue lost for the government of Nigeria.
